Highlighted Employees

Our story is told through our people.

At CRB we’re proud of the employees who serve our communities. Because of this, we like to periodically highlight individuals who truly represent what Community Resource Bank stands for.

Jarid Finstuen

What is your role with CRB?
AVP/Commercial Loan Officer.

How long have you worked for CRB?
15 years.

What do you enjoy most about your role with CRB?
I enjoy working with and learning from my colleagues, the variety of responsibilities at the bank I’ve been entrusted with means no day is ever the same. I also enjoy the opportunities and connections, both personally and professionally, that being a part of CRB has afforded me.

What got you into banking, and what do you love most about it?
Before I was hired at CRB and with two young daughters at home, I was looking for a job with more traditional “9-5” working hours than I had at the time. I spoke with a friend of mine that was working at CRB about being a reference for me for a position at another bank, when she informed me that CRB was hiring for the same position. I filled out an application and was hired on a week later, and here I am still, 15 years later! I love the help that I’m able to provide our community, starting years ago as a teller and personal banker, being able to help new parents set up savings accounts for their kids, welcoming new families to town and being a local connection for them, to helping retirees fund their golden years and even being able to bring some modicum of comfort to families with beneficiaries and estate plans to alleviate at least one burden after losing a loved one. As a lender now, I truly enjoy being able to support our business community, being able to help businesses start, operate, and grow and I’m very proud of how CRB stepped up to help our area with PPP loans during very uncertain times.

Tell us a fun fact about yourself.
As a freshman at Luther College, I was part of the Norsemen choir which was selected to be part of the soundtrack for Veggie Tales’ Larry Boy and the Rumor Weed episode.

What is one unique thing about yourself that you love?
The same reason I got into banking is still my driving force. I’m the father of 5 now, four daughters and one son. Most people that come into my office don’t see pictures right away, but that’s because those photos I do have face towards me as my daily motivation to be better for their sake.
